Sound Pouches

My friend, Jo, made the set of sound pouches for the classroom. Oh, so pretty! I went through all the pouches saying, "What a nice combination of colors!", "Such a pretty button!", "Very creative she is." and spent an hour or so. Still today I can't stop looking at them. They are just too lovely.

友人のジョーさんが、英語のクラス用に「音の袋」を作ってくれました。1つずつ違うボタン、刺繍のパターン、どれもが愛らしくて、何時間眺めてもあきません。


These pouches are for keeping the small objects which are starting from the sound of the letter on the pouch. For example, the pouch of g could have objects like guitar, goose, glass. For children who are learning the sound of the letter, it'll be such a fun activity to open the pouch and find what are inside. Surely now I enjoy sorting my collection of small objects into the pouches.

この袋、何をするものかといえば、アルファベットの文字と音を結びつけ始めたこども達のために、袋に書かれた文字の音で始まる小物を中に入れておくのです。中に何が入ってるのか分からないような袋は、こども達はとても楽しいようで、とても人気のある遊びの１つです。何度も遊んでいるうちに音とアルファベットの文字も結びつき、物の名前への興味も出てくるようです。
さて、これから袋に何を入れようかな。久々に小物コレクションを紐解いてみることにします。
