Activities in nature

Whole November passed very quickly! I haven't posted about the class for a while, so this is the digest post of what we have done in November. The weather was and is still very autumn like in this area of Japan, so we stayed a lot of time outside.
Activity 1) Exploring the bamboo forest in the farm.

11月はあっという間に過ぎ、気づけばいつの間にか12月。お天気も良いこの頃は、モンテッソーリクラスも農場でたくさんのアクティビティーを行いました。

Baking part was very exciting!

竹の棒に巻きつけて焼くところが大変でもあり、楽しいところです。


One class made a big pot of vegetable soup after reading the story "Stone Soup".

１つのクラスは、ストーンスープという絵本に触発されてみんなで野菜を持ち寄り、こどもたちがスープを作りました。

Activity 5) Digging up peanuts was fun! I was nervous how well peanuts have grown, but good! At least children could harvest some and see where they grow. Now more and more winter vegetables are getting ready to be picked up in the farm.

５．ピーナッツを掘り起こしました。ちょっと掘るには時期が遅く、しかも今年初めて育ててみたピーナッツ。我が家では誰も作り方を知らず、ピーナッツができているのかいないのか、かなり怪しかったのですが収穫できて良かったです。


Activity 6) Color walk and leaf hunting was a great idea from Jo! Each class finds different things and I enjoy observing what children are picking up.

I wish this warm weather stays longer. You could read more about Nov and Dec. class from Jo's blog. It's wonderful to have a neat and very creative friend. I enjoy reading her blog so much!
