Last Sunday, there was a summer festival and graduation ceremony at the kindergarten where I worked. Children did beautiful musical! It was a bit sad to say good bye to my little friends there.
先週の日曜日は幼稚園のサマーフェスト。子どもたち主演のミュージカル、そして卒園式がありました。子供はニコニコ、大人は涙、涙。国や場所が変わっても、卒園式の光景はあまり変わらないのかもしれません。
In the afternoon, I had the last piano lesson to Ronja and after the lesson, she held her birthday piano recital!
I've been teaching her piano for 10 months and we had so much fun in each lesson. We started from the game to connect the tone and music note, and now after 10 months she plays pieces beautifully with both hands even with pedal. At the last lesson, while listening to her first Chopin piece, I almost cried.
午後は、ロニヤちゃんとの最後のピアノレッスン。この10か月毎週1時間、レッスンを続けてきました。ピアノ嫌いのロニヤちゃんをなんとか続けさせてほしい、というお母さんのお願いで始まったレッスンでしたが、初回から、言葉の壁にも関わらず、ロニヤちゃんとは意気投合。音符と鍵盤の位置を結びつけるたくさんのゲーム、そして作曲「雨の歌」「お花が風にゆれてる歌」・・・を経て、10か月後には両手で初めてのショパンを弾きこなすまでになりました。音符は単なる記号ではなくて、音符の裏には作曲家のイメージ、メッセージ、ストーリーがある、ということが、自分が作曲をすることで分かった様子。
レッスンの後には、ロニヤちゃんの「お誕生日コンサート」を開きましたが、このコンサートでは曲のイメージ、物語を絵にしよう！というロニヤちゃんからの提案。実はコンサートに向けて数か月前から自分で準備をしてきたのです。
As soon as Ronja got the idea of musical notes, we started to compose songs. For example, when it was rainy, we listened to the rain and composed the song of raindrops. When flowers were blooming, we made a song of flowers blooming under the sun. What I wanted to tell her is each musical notes are not just notes. There is composer's imagination, story, message behind it. As she experienced composing music by herself, she started to think/feel what the piece is about.
For the recital, she drew the pictures for each piece, imagining what the melody is trying to describe.
It was again so sad to leave her, but I should be happy to think that she now has a key to enjoy the world of music. I always think it's great that we can enjoy the pieces written hundreds of years ago and share it with people around us!
今回が最後、と思うととても寂しい気持ちになりますが、「ピアノ続けて上手になるから、また一緒に弾こうね」と言うロニヤちゃん。次の再会が今から楽しみです。
For her recital, her best friend from school, her family, her grandparents and my German family (you already know who they are!) gathered. Ronja's mom prepared beautiful cake and tea after the recital, and it was such a nice time.
このコンサートでは、ロニヤちゃんの家族、お友達、おじいちゃん、おばあちゃん、私のドイツ人家族ーアイリス、ヤコブ君、クリスチャンが集いました。コンサートの後は、ロニヤちゃんのお母さん、アレクサの手作りケーキ！楽しく、ほっとするひと時を過ごしました。
After the tea, we played tag with adults, children, dogs altogether. It was tremendously fun:-) Such a beautiful Sunday! I'm trying to suck in each moment, all the impressions here in Munich.
お茶の後には、庭で、大人も子供も犬も一緒になっての鬼ごっこ。みんな本気の本気！
素敵な日曜日。帰国を前に、一瞬一瞬が愛おしくなるこの頃です。
